The O’Heart Festival is a three-day, Conscious Living-Indie Folk event. This festival is deeply rooted in environmental awareness, alternative energy technologies and sustainability solutions. Body Mind and Spiritual healing are a big part of the event that is weaved together by various music stages. This festival is filled with yoga, singing, movement and wellbeing workshops. There are also market stalls, environmental talks and films. This non-profit weekend is a culmination of inspired folk coming together to help rebuild and restore the hearts of many people who have suffered during the devastation of the March Floods in the Northern Rivers Region. It will be fundraising directly for the Mayoral Fund that continues to support those who lost so much during this time. It will be a festival that is plastic bag and illicit drug free, using solar powered stages and with a zero waste outcome. Our hearts desire is to join with others in encouraging and educating as many folk as we can – to know that with every action we make, we can be part of a growing consciousness creating a difference. Join with us in helping be the difference.
Cabaret seems to have taken a back seat in Sydney in recent times, certainly when it comes to young male performers. The scene for a long time was dominated by a variety of music theatre and cabaret guys as they used the intimacy of cabaret to work on their craft and strengthen their reputation. From this period came David Campbell, Tim Draxl, Kane Alexander, Hayden Tee,Shaun Rennie etc etc, to name a few. Many of these performers cut their cabaret teeth at the legendary El Rocco Club in Kings Cross.
So it seems only appropriate to introduce David Simes to the world at El Rocco together with an opening in the wonderful environs of the magical town of Tyalgum where so many of the aforementioned singers have also performed.
David Simes is a 25 year old actor singer from the central coast who has made an impression in children’s theatre and theatre in the last couple of years. David is currently one half of the “Giggle and Hoot” show on ABC TV. Last year he won great reviews in the play “Flood” at the Old 505 Theatre and toured for a year around Australia with Brainstorm Theatre. Most recently David has been touring with singing group “The Vallies”. David has wanted to take on the world of cabaret for some time and this is his first full show.
Leading strongly with the traditions set by some of the great jazz and swing performers, David’s show also features some classic music theatre standards and some songs from the hottest new Broadway Tony award winning musical hit “Dear Evan Hansen” .
David is joined on this journey with one of Australia’s leading musical directors, the amazing Andrew Worboys, fresh from his success with “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Cabaret” and the recent tour with Belinda Wollaston and just before he begins his work on two new Hayes productions “Assasins” and “High Fidelity”. David and Andrew make quite a dynamic duo, not to be missed.

We are delighted to announce a Surprise Pop-up Homecoming Party with The Heart Collectors on Friday 16th June at Flutterbucks pizza night. Our favourite band have returned from their whirlwind USA & European tour and are looking forward to performing their tour sets to familiar faces and playing on home shores.
In 2017 Flutterbies will produce it’s 3rd major Shakespeare production with Shakespeare’s most loved romantic comedy ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. Claudio and Hero are deeply in love. Beatrice and Benedick are deeply in denial. All is well. Then Claudio humiliates Hero. Hero has a fainting attack and pretends to die. And Beatrice and Benedick join forces with a vengeance. And that’s just up to the interval. If it sounds complicated, well, that’s love for you – a trip down the aisle is never a straight one. When you delve into other people’s relationships you soon learn the real cost of commitment – what we will do and what we won’t do for that capricious and often elusive thing called love. With its unique charm and quick wit, Much Ado About Nothing is sure to be a great night of entertainment for everyone.
Bookings essential as seating is limited.
Banquet style dinner, a glass of mulled wine on arrival & the play $75 per person.

1700: Into the Temple is a very special Collection of works that have been crafted upon an ancient, sacred smithing anvil that found it’s way home to the OSIRIS studio at the beginning of this year.
The body of work emerges from this current of ancientness, and echoes symbolisms and stories of times, when adornments were empowered by sacred mysticisms and rituals.
The pieces are handrafted from sterling silver and gold, and feature Lapis Lazuli that have been hand cut for each piece. Lapis Lazuli is a stone of spirituality, holding the current of Truth and Enlightenment. A stone of spiritual royalty and intuition. It’s chakra is Third Eye and it’s element is Water.
“I wanted to construct pieces that spoke of Ancientness, that told the stories that are embedded still in the depths of our Consciousness; relics of our archaeologies emerging at this End Time… We are alive as the Collective Consciousness and perfect summary of all of our lifetimes, for the sake of Understanding. These sliding doors of the Ages move constantly, as Mists of Time, as we seek Self Knowledge and Remembrance of the Truth of Us as Only God..” – OSIRIS
