‘An Afternoon of Piano & Song’
Saturday 8th April

For our first Little Shop concert Australian operatic soprano Michelle Ryan, will perform at Flutterbies on Saturday 8th April in the quaint and intimate venue of The Little Shop Next Door.

Michelle is a student of the Royal Academy of Music in London, she is also a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has performed with the Berlin Opera Academy, The Lyric Opera Studio Wiemar, and this year she returns to Tyalgum after having visited at the Tyalgum Music Festival performing with ‘The Song Company’. For her Flutterbies concert Michelle will perform a selection of classical arias, operetta, musical theatre and Celtic music.

The concert will also feature rising star pianist Crystal Smith. 19 year old Crystal will perform a selection of classical pieces including Bach, Beethoven and Rachmaninov in the Flutterbies concert and will also accompany Michelle. Cyrstal is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music (Advanced performance) at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in Brisbane, and has already won a swag of awards to her credit.

Most recently she was a Showcase Performer at the Sydney International Piano Competition in 2016. Crystal won first place at the Queensland Piano Competition in 2015, Most Promising Tweed Valley Pianist 2015 and several others.
