INTRODUCTION TO SILVERSMITHING

Learn the basics of silversmithing in a relaxed, country setting here in Tyalgum, northern NSW. During the course of the day you will become familiar with the fundamental tools of the trade, learn how to cut, saw, anneal, solder, texture and finish a ring, which will be yours to keep! Classes run from 10am until 4pm on a Saturday, and are for up to six students, to allow for individualised tuition. Full payment is required upon booking to secure your place.

$185 tuition fee, includes two rings.

    On 20th October Flutterbies will be hosting a fundraiser dinner for ‘Kenya Health’ an Australian Charity founded by local nurse/ midwife Lyle Burgoyne; ‘Kenya Health’ provides medicine, medical treatment, and education to help improve the health of underprivileged people in Kenya. Flutterbies will also be raising money for ‘Days For Girls’ an organisation creating a better future for young women in third world countries. As a special treat for this event we will be re-staging our sold out mid winter production of 'As You Like It' for the evening’s entertainment, so we invite everyone to come dressed in the theme!     Enjoy all your favourite handmade stalls in a unique and delightful garden setting, with live music and good old fashioned country hospitality that Tyalgum is famous for! Stalls are spread out throughout the village, starting at Celestial Dew Guesthouse next door to Flutterbies, where you will find a a lovely array of stalls, including handmade arts and crafts and some vintage treasures! While you are there, take a stroll through to the back gardens along Marketta Lane and enjoy this quaint, country setting in the cool of the lush gardens. Find more locally handcrafted and vintage wares in front of the Tyalgum General Store, and be sure to wander down the main street and enjoy our local artisan galleries, and gift shops!
