Join us for a glass of Champagne at the OSIRIS Exhibition Opening Friday May 12th, 6pm – 7pm, @ Osiris Studio + Gallery, 10 Coolman St, Tyalgum.
1700: Into the Temple is a very special Collection of works that have been crafted upon an ancient, sacred smithing anvil that found it’s way home to the OSIRIS studio at the beginning of this year.
The body of work emerges from this current of ancientness, and echoes symbolisms and stories of times, when adornments were empowered by sacred mysticisms and rituals.
The pieces are handrafted from sterling silver and gold, and feature Lapis Lazuli that have been hand cut for each piece. Lapis Lazuli is a stone of spirituality, holding the current of Truth and Enlightenment. A stone of spiritual royalty and intuition. It’s chakra is Third Eye and it’s element is Water.
“I wanted to construct pieces that spoke of Ancientness, that told the stories that are embedded still in the depths of our Consciousness; relics of our archaeologies emerging at this End Time… We are alive as the Collective Consciousness and perfect summary of all of our lifetimes, for the sake of Understanding. These sliding doors of the Ages move constantly, as Mists of Time, as we seek Self Knowledge and Remembrance of the Truth of Us as Only God..” – OSIRIS

Annie Sloan has created a wonderful range of chalk paint colours, inspired by her travels through Europe, decorating wonderful country homes and chateaus. Sometimes though, we want another colour, another theme, another time that requires a special colour, a special feeling..
She has written a book giving us her experience with mixing her colour range which just adds to that adventurous spirit of creating fabulous art with her chalk paint. It gives you the freedom of choice with a basic understanding of how and why to mix certain colours together.
This workshop gives you the tools to start your adventure; to mix paint with confidence. You will receive a workbook that you will put colours into, keep as a reference and build on with ideas for future projects.
Bring along your piece of furniture to paint and enjoy learning with friends. $130 Workshop includes morning tea and all your paint.
See you there!
Fresh from her London triumphs in the new hit musical play “Through the Mill” about the life and times of Judy Garland, acclaimed Australian music theatre performer and actor Belinda Wollaston returns briefly to Australia for a month in March, before returning to London for another season of the hit play on Garland’s life.
For one night only, Belinda will present at the Hayes Theatre on Sunday March 19th at 7 30pm, a cabaret show based around the songs of Judy Gaeland. Belinda will tell stories of the show, stories of the remarkable Garland and how the show has affected her life in an intimate stripped back cabaret setting.
A recent London review of Belinda’s work summed it up in saying…
“I’d die happy if I could press Belinda Wollaston’s voice to brand new vinyl, lie back in an empty room, and play it loudly on a loop for the rest of my life”…
Under the musical direction of Helpmann Award nominee Andrew Worboys and featuring special guest Shaun Rennie, this is set to be one of the highlights of the Tyalgum events calender for 2017.
Belinda is currently nominated for Broadway World’s Best Lead Actress in a Musical. Previously, Belinda appeared at the Union Theatre in “The Spitfire Grill”, which won her the Craig Dodd Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Before leaving for London, Belinda has a strong and exciting music theatre career in Australia performing leads in shows such as “Titanic”, “Summer Rain’(STC) , “Mame’;(TPC), :Respect”, “Mamma Mia” and “Shane Warne the Musical”.
This one night only performance is a rare chance to see Belinda perform in her own country, before returning to further engagements in London.
